Amylin is a peptide hormone co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic beta cells that plays a key role in regulating appetite, gastric emptying,and postprandial glucose levels. Cagrilintide binds to amylin receptors (AMY1-3) and calcitonin receptors,producing sustained metabolic effects.
